On Saturday, June 27, 2026, we will host the KM 2026 Conference Social Event tour. The day begins with morning pickups at the Dom Pedro Lisboa Hotel (08:45) and the DUO Hotel Lisbon (09:00). We will then enjoy a scenic departure for Moita, crossing the iconic Vasco da Gama Bridge—the longest bridge in the European Union. Our first stop will be at the Trimarine Compósitos Lda, a yacht construction facility in Moita, where we will have a private tour of their advanced boat manufacturing plant (in two smaller groups). Following the tour, we will enjoy a scenic drive toward the coast to Carcavelos. We will have lunch at the renowned A Pastorinha Restaurant, where colleagues and friends can socialize over a magnificent meal (please specify your preference for meat, fish, or vegetarian in the attendance survey - sent about a week prior to the conference). The afternoon will be spent enjoying a relaxing beach time at the magnificent Carcavelos Beach. We have arranged for beach chairs, umbrellas, and there are public shower facilities for your comfort. To wrap up the day, we will enjoy an afternoon coffee and snack before boarding the bus. We expect to arrive back at the hotels in the early evening (approx. 19:00), depending on traffic. Please plan for a full-day excursion.
We recommend that you wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat, beachware and beach towel, changing clothes, and bring a bottle of water with you!
*** Note about guests of KM Conference delegates:
It is required that all conference attendees also register their family members and/or guests to ensure they are counted for the social event. Thank you for understanding. We will not be able to accommodate individuals who were not registered ahead of time as we must provide final numbers to the bus comopany and resturants in advance. Thank you for understanding. See KM2026 Registration Page if needed.
Please also bring a good mood and a big smile!
